1111Arte Povera and Carnival at the Querini Stampalia
The Querini Stampalia Foundation launches a challenge for 2017 in the name of quality and reduced tariffs. Exhibitions will span from Giovanni Anselmo's Arte Povera to the contemporary visions of the Israelian Hadassa Goldvicht and a new installation by Mario Botta, but also Carnival events for adults and children, cinema, events and games.
The 2016 initiatives brought the Museum, the Scarpa Area and the temporary exhibitions to register a good increase in the visitors numbers with the Library being a reference point for local students and researchers.
While the Titina Maselli exhibition will be on show until 5 March, on 15 March a new historical-photography exhibition will be inaugurated: "A family in exile: the Trentin family and the European anti-Fascist movement", the story of a family for whom freedom and critical thinking were a life mission. From 16 February photographer Alessandra Chemollo presents some shots (amongst the many) published in the volume "Carlo Scarpa. The Canova Plaster Cast Gallery in Possagno" by Gianluca Frediani.
